He also noticed that I had a book with me, and suggested a quiet area for my wait time, which I appreciated. The added bonus was the gorgeous ice blue Clubman that I got to view in that area. I rated question 3a below as average, solely because no one was at the service desk when I arrived. I'm sure it was rather busy, being a Saturday, so the brief wait was not a problem and when Mark came over it was with haste, so I believe is was an unusual occurrence." 4.5"MINI of Peabody had a tough two jobs in a row here, an install of the Alpine retrofit kit, and then a JCW Tuning Kit muffler that was not holding up and needed replacement. It took a long time, due to two amplifiers in a row being defective, and then the muffler had to be ordered from Germany... but MOP did everything it could. What would have made it a 5, would have been to have communicated regularly without my asking for status (I think even an email a day that said "no news yet" is better than silence). One thing that specifically wasn't communicated is that I thought that from Germany just a muffler hanger was coming, where it was the entire muffler, which is why it took so long. 3.0"Although I felt the service department (specifically Mark) tried to be helpful for my condensation issue, after almost a week they were unable to find the cause. that I could live it. it was the way I felt push-pulled to fix my windshield (i had gotten a tiny crack ON MY WAY to the dealership) that was distressing. I was still thinking that the windshield might have been the problem with the condensation. but because of warranties and the stipulation that I would have to front the money to have my windshield replaced, it became a hassle to resolve. I spoke to a manager, Gary, but felt he wasn't very sympathetic overall, maybe tired of my complaint? not sure. so I picked up my car, having no answer to the condensation issue. I will say it hasn't happened since I gave them the car, and I am inclined to think that maybe a full car wash might have been the problem~i.e. wet carpeting??? Also I decided to only repair the crack, not replace, due to my car being less than a year old and it would break the seal and not be covered by MINI. Unfortunately this experience has tainted my view a bit of the MINI service dept. given that I was left to figure out my issues myself, even after I purchased my car with the promise that with ANY problem, concern or issue, MINI would be there to take care of it." We rely on the Cooper to perform excellently because we live in the mountains of Maine and have to drive plenty of miles. We're on the road by 5am and the Cooper starts reliably and handles well in the snow and on ice. Mini of Peabody has proven to be an excellent dealership and our annual visit is always pleasant, reliable, and memorable---thanks to an exceptionally well trained staff. 5.0"I had annual service done, and even though I am still covered under warranty 2 years in, I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to pay anything. Yes, I in effect paid in advance since the warranty gets built into the purchase price, but still, contrary to so many other places, there is no hard sell, high pressure upgrading and add on charges that we are so used to getting. 4.0"THIS visit was well done, - but I came in to fix a leak in my coolant system - at the thermostat, and left having replaced two engine gaskets, four brake pads and two rotors. Don't get me wrong - I am glad that this service technician discovered these critical items - BUT - I had been in in August to have the car thoroughy inspected and 'tuned up' - the brakes were clearly an issue then (given what was left of them) and should have been brought to my attention. I had my two young children with me, so i took them upstairs to entertain them - after nearly 45 min I went downstairs to check on my car and it was STILL SITTING THERE!!!! They had not even brought it out back to diaginose. I could not believe it. Finally they brought my car out back and then told me that the thermostat system had died, and car is only six months old!!
